Let's cook with more than three ingredients.
Most of these recipes are designed for two servings in a DIY cooker. For consistency, these recipes are adapted to a Cookit solar cooker with a 6"x3" (15x8cm) cake pan and glass plate. If you are working with cookers that get to higher temperatures, reduce the time. You can also increase the quantity of food.
Any crockpot recipe can easily be adapted to solar cooking. If modifying a regular recipe, reduce the water by a little because the cooker will keep the moisture.
Cut up the food into smaller pieces for faster cooking. Keep your glaze clean for more efficient cooking. Open the lid sparingly so you don't lose too much heat.
If you are trying to bake breads and cakes, make sure that your solar cooker can get to 300F/149C and hold that temperature for a while.
