Let's cook with more than three ingredients. Shall we?
Most of these recipes are designed for two servings in a DIY cooker. For consistency, most recipes are adapted to a 27"x34" (69x86cm) Cookit solar cooker with a 6"x3" (15x8cm) cake pan and glass plate/lid. If you are working with cookers that get to higher temperatures, reduce the time. You can also increase the quantity of food.
Any crockpot recipe can easily be adapted to solar cooking. If modifying a regular recipe, reduce the water by a little because the cooker will keep in the moisture. Make sure the size of the cooker matches the number of servings.
To shorten the cooking time, you can cut up the food into smaller pieces for faster cooking, keep your glaze clean for more efficient cooking, open the lid sparingly so you don't lose too much heat, and preheat the cooker while you are prepping the food. (Don't preheat an evacuated tube cooker.) Recipes on this website are not preheated unless specifically noted.
